Proud American is feature length film created and produced here in San Diego by Multimedia Productions's Fred Ashman. It was released in September of 2008.
Fred Ashman: From the beginning this project has been on it’s own time-table. Every setback and disappointment along the journey has turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It was pointed out that this country needs this film more than ever today, and will need it even more around inauguration time. This has never been a typical film, created for a purely profit motive. If I’ve learned anything, it is to be patient, and take each setback and triumph as they come. It is unbelievable that we were given the opportunity to make this film, that the theaters embraced it so strongly, and that audiences love it.

Shooting the dramatic scenes with good actors and a great San Diego crew was really fun.
We will be releaseing later this year. If anyone has any questions about how an "industrial producer-director got to shoot a feature, let me know. Got some fasciniting stories to share.
